The Rules and Decorum of Golf

Monday, March 8, 2010 By: WeekendGolfer

GolfGolf is a sport of decorum. More so than other sports, there are definite rules and regulations that have to be followed in terms of what you wear and how you behave on the course. These rules apply to both players and spectators. To that end, the audience must always remain quiet until a specific and allotted time, and even then, it must be clapping kept at a modest volume.

Another strict area of the game is golf apparel. In many cases, players are not even allowed to compete if they aren’t wearing the appropriate gear. That’s why it’s important to know exactly what you need to play the game beforehand. If you’re playing in a competition, make sure to scour the given rules to make sure you don’t miss a single game. As such, make sure you have golf shirts, pants, shorts, shoes, and hat. All of these products should be tailored to the specifications of the game.

Get your golf equipment out and polish the golf clubs up. Get the sharp pencil out and figure your golf budget for new or upgraded equipment.

Did you promise yourself a golf club that does not work very well for you would be replaced this year, now is the time. Is the golf bag getting raggy looking and you would like  more pockets to hold your new rain gear you where going to buy before spring, now is that time.

How about this, last fall and last spring and a few before that you said you were going to get a golf cart cover for your cart or the rentals that would keep you warm and dry on the chilly windy moist days of the golf season.

You declared no more golf trips ruined by bad weather. If you get a high quality golf cart cover now you can play in threatening weather any time of the golf season without worry. Travel 70 miles with your buddies to golf at a special course and if the weather is not perfect grab your travel bag out of the trunk with the Classic Accessories golf cart cover and quickly install it on the rental.

Classic Accessories golf cart covers are heavy duty and will last you for years of golfing enjoyment, get one now for the spring weather coming up.

The northern half on this country has not had the chance to golf for a while but now is the time to get prepared so when opening day comes you can put on your golf apparel without wasting time and grab your golf equipment and get out there.

If you always forget year after year to get ready until your buddy calls and says the course is open and he has a tee time in one hour, then you panic, this is your wake up call.

Get ready now, check out your golf equipment, upgrade and be ready. Remember last year getting rained out constantly during the spring! Maybe now is a good time to order the golf cart cover so you can golf anyway and not get wet.

Stay out of the cold with a golf cart cover for your cart or the rental and enjoy spring golf with those intermittent showers that had you wearing your rain suit all day.

Golfing in the spring after the long winter up here in gods country is a long  anticipated thing. When the golf cart and golf clubs get put away in the back of the garage and the golf apparel goes into winter storage I was ready for a break from golf.

It was nice to get on with the winter activities and a change of pace. But that was in the middle of November. Now it is March and the snow is melting from the warm sun and everyone is starting to bring up, not long until we are golfing again.

And  I Can’t wait for that. Now is the time to get the golf apparel out and see what you have left and what was worn out and you threw away last fall. Hopefully you did not keep that way out of style stuff for yet another year.

Now is a good time to look through your golf clothes and look through the Internet to get what you need. When opening day comes you will probably need more cold weather apparel and you better be ready. But hopefully it will not be long after that you will need shorts and golf shirts and a few new golf balls and a couple pairs of new golf gloves.

Get moving and inventory your golf apparelso you ar ready for opening day!!

penguinIsn’t it amazing how many different driver covers there are out there, I have seen quite and assortment over time. And looking on the Internet just browsing I have seen a driver cover for everyone, sports teams, Animals, Birds, Dogs i mean everything.

The golf bag is another billboard for your sports team or whatever. The popularity of the game of golf has spurred a tremendous imagination from golf accessories manufacturing.

There are never ending items that a person needs to golf besides the golf bag and clubs. You have to have golf balls of coarse and tees, then you need a towel to clean things. What about a visor or hat to keep the sun out of your eyes, and shoes to keep you grounded.

A golf club cleaning brush comes in handy, as does the needed golf ball marker for the green, and boy is there many designs of that. Shop till you drop for golf accessories just to make the game more fun. It definds you, well maybe not, with  special golf club covers.

Golf Shoes Womens and Mens 101

Etonic golf shoes were the first to have what hey called the G>SOK technology which created a totally new golf shoe design. With this technology Etonic was able to design a golf shoe that had built in cleats.

They used a Goodyear Tri-Zone traction system to make a revolutionary golf shoe without cleats. That gives more comfort and still has the grab that us golfer need to stand still and hit the golf balls.

GoreTex is another thing Etonic introduced into the golf shoe to keep them water proof. This enabled the Etonic to provide its customers with the longest waterproof guarantee.
And another golf shoe advancement brought into the industry by Etonic was the Stabilizer Out Sole Technology. This  provides your foot and body with a stable platform but yet enables flexibility and cushioning.
Get a quality Mens golf shoes and Quality Womens golf shoes and your feet will hold up and overall golf game improvement will come alive because like a house the foundation is very important.

Women’s Golf Apparel Shorts and Skorts

Monday, February 8, 2010 By: john
Category: Golf, golf apparel

The ladies have quit a choice of golf apparel to wear. The amount of different designs and colors and combinations of colors is staggering. And then there is the shorts or skorts question.

I personally vote for the skorts on most any of the women out there. Either way the ladies look better in shorts than us men but in my opinion the skorts are a very good addition to the women’s golf apparel.

The skorts are sexy and attractive without being overly so. I mean the women can look good and are wearing something that is very functional and comfortable at the same time. I have not worn them so i guess i have to take my wife’s word that they are very comfortable. She wears them often and has many pairs of skorts and also shorts as i am sure most of you ladies out there have.

But you can never have to may as the styles change and you ladies have to keep up, us men know that for a fact. You ladies just keep looking good out on the golf course, if you are comfortable and spend more time golfing you will just keep getting better.

Ladies Golf Shoes

Sunday, February 7, 2010 By: john

I thought that men had a huge selection of golf shoes to choose from between the colors styles and pricing due to the amazing technology in a golf shoe. Then on day browsing through the golf equipment I accidentally clicked on women’s golf shoes.

That was a revelation, of coarse I should have known better. Just walk into a regular shoe store and pay attention to how much of the store is women’s shoes and how much is men’s. The same thing applies to women,s golf shoes section on the Internet, imagine that.

The ladies always have matching apparel, some even when doing yard work and house work. There are so many different styles and color combinations that go with every different technology of  womens golf shoes. They even have soles with suction cups for comfort and no cleats for the slower swing speed ladies.

There are times to be cheap of frugal on golf equipment and times not to be because you do not save anything. I have had my winter gloves for 6 or 7 years and they are still new. At $30 that is less than $5 per year averaged out and they are still like new and could go another 6 or 7 years.

Buy a good pair of winter golf gloves and quit looking out the window and get out there and golf. There are many manufacturers that make golf equipment and golf apparel so that we golfers can play in some bad weather conditions and still enjoy the game of golf because we are warm and having fun.

As long as you are getting a good pair of winter golf gloves  maybe you should check your rain gloves also. If they are getting worn out or maybe you do not have a good pair of rain gloves either. Get your golf appparel  now before the season starts so you are ready to enjoy the game as soon as possible.

Winter Golf Gloves

Saturday, February 6, 2010 By: john

The winter golf gloves can come in handy for other things besides golf. I would bet that some of you down south golfers got some unexpected snow this winter and used your golf gloves to hold on to that shovel handle. I would bet that works pretty good to, good grip.

Speaking of grip i know when i play golf and if is cold enough to wear my winter golf gloves i have to change my grip. By that i mean that with two gloves on I have so much grip that i twist the golf club a little and my ball goes off line.

I only have one pair of winter golf glovesand they are Etonic with thinsulate. These gloves where not cheap by any means but they are very high quality and very warm. Usually when i put them on by the time i get to the third hole my hands are starting to get very warm and I can take them off.

Look for part two for the rest of the story.
