When you are looking at improving your short game, and you look at wedges, they are listed with different bounce numbers with the same loft, what are they talking about?
Titleist golf clubs had a very good explanation and i will try to put into more lay terms for the golfers to understand. Put simply, bounce is the angle and thickness of the bottom of the club (sole). This sole design is either thick or large and has an angle to keep the golf clubs from digging into what ever you are trying to hit the ball out of. Having this bounce is more important on sand shots to help from getting “fat” shots or digging deep under the ball and losing energy on the sand and making the golf ball come up short on your shot.
Having to much bounce on a fairway shot or an area with little grass to hold the ball up can cause you to blade the ball. And we all have done that and the golf balls go 40 yards instead of the 15 yards you intended.
Taylormade Golf Clubs Ladies r7CGB hybrids
Taylormade Golf Clubs has a very good line of ladies clubs designed and engineered especially for the ladies from the start. These r7CGB Hybrid golf clubs are a wonderful part of the lineup.
The hybrid golf clubs help get good contact on the golf balls when they are lying in the rough where you have to contend with long grass, thick grass, or both along with obstacles in your way. The r7CGB has a center of gravity that is lower and farther back so it promotes good ball launch. And the sole is specially designed to get down in the grass to get at the golf balls in the first place.
The shallow club face of the r7CGB hybrid promotes increased spin so that even with the slower club head speed the ladies can get better distance without loss of accuracy. These hybrids developed by taylormade golf clubs are easier to hit than a seven iron and with the bright finish are very appealing to the eye.
If you do not have hybrids in your bag then you have not tried them. Simply amazing over the long irons in your bag now, very hittable.
Nike Golf Clubs the Slingshot Irons
The Nike golf clubs have an intermediate Iron set for the average golfer. These Slingshot 4d irons have the weight high and forward in the short irons to achieve stability and control on the shorter shots. And the long irons has the weight positioned lower and back to get the ball flight were it needs to be for the long flight and correct direction.
The Nike Slingshot golf clubs also have a progressive offset that will help you to square up the face before impact. Without the club face squared up the golf balls will fly a direction other than you intended, not good.
The longer Nike golf clubs offer a hybrid like forgiveness and the ball flight is high and long like you want it. The shorter golf clubs of the set have the sole, and the offset, and the club head profile engineered for good feel and control around the green where you really need the accuracy.
Taylormade Rescue Hybrids
Taylormade Rescue Hybrids are a very high technology golf club. The hybrid club has been around for a very short time but as you golfers that have tried them or own them know they are the greatest thing since sliced bread.
The Hybrid is a great addition to any bodies golf bag. They are designed for long shots out of the rough, and they are very good at it. A very good combination of a fairway wood and an iron.
The Taylormade Rescue clubs have very light club heads with a low center of gravity to dig out the ball in thick long grass. But these Rescue hybrid golf clubs are very forgiving on off center shots so the golf ball has a high straight trajectory despite or lack of skills.
Taylormade golf clubs has improved the Rescue Hybrid constantly since the first one hit the market so that they can always stay ahead of the competition on this hot new golf club design.
Golf gps units have come a long way very fast. Remember when they first came out and were not legal for competition play. Thankfully the USGA saw the light and made them legal, after all it just leveled the playing field so the average golfer could have a caddie also.
The first gps units were hard to operate, had bad graphics, were not very accurate and only told you how far to the green. But now these golf GPS units have gotten hugely better in all areas. The graphics are life like, you have measurements to and over the bunkers and the ponds. And you can access the information before the group behind you hits into you.
These are a great addition to the golf equipment you already have and can lower that handicap score just by keeping you out of trouble, and save some of your golf balls from swimming.
Come back later for more GPS units 101 and the rest of the story.
Calloway UPro GPS units
The advent of golf GPS systems has changed golfing at an unknown golf course and makes it easier to golf on the courses you kind of know. Calloway golf has introduced a very good gps that tells you, i think, everything you need to know about the golf course you are playing.
The Calloway UPro series gps units are amazing in there technology. These will tell you the distance to anywhere and over any hazards on the course. The distances are superimposed on the imagery and it is updated as you move. You can view the target area and the distance left to the green so you can decide what to do.
If you are taking two shots to the green you can move the location of the first target and the distance to the green will change. That way if you are better at hitting the green from 80 to 100 yards then you can easily adjust your first shot so it all works out. Simply amazing isn’t it?
If this piece of golf equipment does not lower your handicap then you are not utilizing it correctly. A Calloway UPro GPS unit is a good investment in your golf game, give it a try.
Golf GPS units Calloway UPro
The Calloway UPro GPS unit has some very outstanding features. The graphics are clear and easy to understand along with the yardages to and over the hazards. In my opinion when golfing a new course the hard part is not knowing distances to the pin and much as the distances to the ponds.
You are on a hole on a strange course and you can have a fly over on your calloway UPro gps. Ta Da, how great is that, the mystery is over and the golfing can begin. You hit your drive on a dogleg and now you are looking at a pond that covers 90 percent of the fairway, do you go over or layup?
Ask to UPro GPS unit, how far is the pond? How far is it over the pond, and then how far to the fairway bunker. Now you can make an informed decision and hit the golf balls with confidence and without hesitation. We all know hesitation puts the golf balls in the pond.
Get a golf gps in your bag and step up your game.
Golf gps systems Calloway UPro
In the world of golf gps units the Calloway UPro has got to be right up there as the best, and easy to operate available today. If you have to cross a pond on the course and you want to know where to cross that you can reach this unit will do that. You just ask it distances to the other side.
When you have a fairway with a hazard, or a dogleg you can mark a spot on the fairway you want to hit your golf ball and the Upro will tell you the distance. And then it will tell you the remaining distance to the green, how great is that? You can measure from where you are on the course and plan your course management with complete accuracy with out guessing.
I think that has to be the missing link in playing golf on a new or not really familiar golf course. It is like having a local caddie everywhere you go. These golf gps units are really change to game in traveling golf, no more unknowns and what is around the corner.
My Thursdays With The Guys
For years now my buddies and I have followed the same tradition every year. On Thanksgiving morning we meet at the local country club to play nine holes of golf. I look forward to the golfing more than I look forward to the turkey and stuffing. It’s a blast. We drink a few beers, tool around in the golf cart, and hit the golf balls.
Last year my wife tried to put an end to this tradition by demanding I help with the cooking, or at least watch the kids while she’s cooking. But I stuck to my guns, and flat out denied her request. I wouldn’t sacrifice those sacred Thursday morning with my pals for anything.
Titleist Golf Balls has improved it’s NXT Tour golf ball. This golf ball has 392 dimple design that is unique to titleist in a staggered wave design. The NXT Tour golf balls are designed and engineered for the upper escutcheon or lower handicap golfers out there. These golf balls will react well to the high speed club head strike to fly long and true.
These tour balls have a cover that can absorb and react to bashing with the driver but when you get to your approach shot to the green it is soft and workable. It does not do any good to have a long drive and be within striking distance of the green and have no control over the ball spin. Or to hit your shot and the ball feels like a brick when not struck hard.
Titleist golf balls has created a ball to get there and then feel soft and have workability around the green. That is what we golfers want in a ball, smash it straight and long off of the tee and touchy feely around the green.
