Low cost Variety golf clubs
Because so many of us humans love the game of golf there are also many golf club companies making golf clubs of all different quality and prices. How can you tell which product to buy that is the best for your golf game and budget?
Boy if that isn’t the million dollar question! I have looked at and purchased quite a few golf clubs in my life, both golf club sets and individual clubs and i really do not know.
I would say from my experience unless you play one or two times every week and spend a couple hours at the driving range every week you do not gain much by playing with big name golf clubs. You are not consistent on your swings and face it you are just out there to have fun and enjoy the game of golf.
Playing golf with variety golf clubs can be fun and rewarding and also the technology of these lower cost golf clubs is only one year or so behind the big boys anyway.
Less is more with noname golf clubs 101 part 2
If i spend less money on golf clubs but still spend enough to have decent equipment then i can afford to play more and still enjoy the game of golf.
Here is how i look at it, if you are hooked on golf like i am and millions of others then you just want to play. We are not like the pro’s, we do not live on the driving range and the practice green, we want to golf.
We have a life outside of golf, a job, a family, friends so we have a small window of time for golf. Do we need or can we afford three grand in golf equipment to play 10 times a year, probably not.
Golf club manufacturers like Nikent,Wilson, Intech, Texan, Orlimar, Hippo, make very good equipment inexpensively so we can just play the game of golf. Just get some of these variety golf clubs in your bag and spend your golf budget money on tee times and have fun.
Used Golf Clubs 101
If you are interested in second hand golf clubs you are not alone. It has become very popular to check out used clubs, especially the top end, high quality, name brand ones. First check the iron club face for a shiny center and the drivers for a lot of ball marks on the face. These you want to avoid because they have been through the best of there life.
You also do not want to buy a driver or fairway wood that seems to have a concave club head surface, these are also used up. These imperfections mean the previous owner has played golf with them extensively and there is no more good life left in them.
Next thing to check is the golf club irons for the sharpness of the grooves, if the edges are smooth and look worn the golf ball will not come off of the face like it should and won’t help your game to improve. Used clubs can be re-grooved and also have new grips put on them but in my opinion if the grooves are well worn don’t buy them. There are numerous used golf clubs out in the market and some of them are almost new and can be bought for a song so take your time and check out a few outlets before buying.

Titanium 101 part 2
Titanium’s 15-3-3-3 and SP700 are the better quality titanium’s of golf equipment manufacturers. Look for either one for your next purchase. 15-3-3-3 has smaller elongation but the highest tensile strength of the two. And the SP700 is a few percentage points higher on the elongation meter and also has considerable tensile strength. With a higher elongation the golf club will translate into more spring of the golf ball off of the club face.
So what does all this technical stuff mean? Dollars for distance is the answer, but your club head speed is a big factor in which one to spend your money on. The SP700 is more expensive and the ball will jump off of the club face better but, if your club head speed is slower you will not reap the rewards near as much. So is the extra $20 to $40 worth it ?
OK now you have the stats on titanium, low end price and performance is still good for casual play and high handicappers that just want to play. Step up for the better performers if you are trying to improve your game or already play in the low numbers, it is well worth the money both for performance and the longevity of the golf club life.
The Right Golf Clubs for you part 2
A normal golf bag has a driver and a couple of fairway woods or hybrid clubs. A driver is for teeing off and it is the longest shafted club with the biggest head. Also the hardest to hit. The fairway woods are in competition with the new hybrid clubs for long fairway and long rough shots.
Irons
Now the irons are thin club heads with horizontal grooves to help spin the ball. There are basically two types of irons, the cavity back and the blade style. The cavity back is hollow in the middle so the weighting is on the perimeter to help hit the ball straight for less experienced golfer. And the blade style is like it says, a blade with even weight, for the more experienced golfer or someone that plays more often.
The irons are long (2,3,4 ) mid (5,6,7) and the short (8,9) . There is also the wedges for around the green. They are sold by the loft you want up to as much as 64 degrees or maybe more by now.

This helps to ensure that the ball travels straighter even if you hit the ball a little off of center. This promotes consistency in your ball flight and helps keeping you from buying dozens of new golf balls when you hit them in the water or the woods.
Your golf club length is determined, as you might have guessed, by your height and length of your arms. There are also different grip sizes, you guessed it, for different sizes of hand. To thick of a grip restricts the movement of your wrist and you can not get the club around to square on impact so the ball always goes right. And if the club grip is to small it can cause problems getting a correct grip and fitting your hands on the club properly.
