Most golfers won’t take a swing until they put on their golf glove. It is an optional piece of golf apparel or equipment but used by most golfers, the ladies and the men.
The glove goes on the target side hand to provide grip on the golf club and also provides a comfortable feel to instill confidence. But it is usually taken off for putting to get the added feel of the stoke . It is not much chance of the putter slipping in your hands, actually just the opposite. Many gloves also have a ball marker that detaches which is quite handy.
The golf glove is made of soft leather that feels like a second skin because it is fitted tight and stretched on the hand and held with Velcro. There is also a synthetic version that is cheaper but probably will not last as long as the soft leather golf gloves.
