That time of year is on the way, or already here in Arizona last week, that you have to have rain gear in your golf bag just in case the skys open up when you least expect it.
I know that to buy good rain apparel to stuff in your golf bag can be expensive, upwards of 100 dollars, but if you do not have compact rain apparel how do you carry it.
And if you do not have good rain gear how wet will you get and how happy will you be. This piece of golf equipment or golf apparel is one of those expenditures that has to come but probably years and years before you have to buy again.
Purchase good golf rain gear and it will last for years just like the quality golf shoes.
Rainy weather golfing part 2
We finish a fun filled round of camaraderie and teasing and golf and only had two holes of rain and sixteen holes of dry golf. Isn’t that usually that is how it goes. Of coarse once or twice a year the horn goes off and we have to come off of the course for half an hour but the sun then pops out and we can continue anyway.
All the time the only reason we can even attempt to golf in this weather is because we are prepared for the worst and are willing to accept it. We have rain suits, rain gloves, rain hats and if we are renting a golf cart i have my golf cart cover to hide in.
It just goes to show you that if you love to play golf and enjoy it with friends it all works out to a great day. All you have to do is be prepared for what might happen. If you have your rain suit bag and your rain golf gloves in you golf bag and your golf partners do to then a wasted day with no golf can become a lasting memory.
Get your golf rain gear and get out there.
Rainy weather golfing part 1
If you look at all of the golf equipment that is made just so the game can be played in the rain you would think that we love playing the game. Well we do, and when we have a tee time set up and have been looking forward to it for a couple of weeks you can not let a little rain stop you from your fun.
It really is amazing how many times i have gone golfing over the years and had threatening weather, but i still go. Is it because if i am the only one that does not show up i get called a chicken, or because i want to show up so i can call the ones that do not show, chicken.
Then we all show up and play and it never rains on us. Or it rains and we scramble to put on the golf rain gear, the rain suit and rain gloves, and in a hole or two the weather passes and we take it all off and golf on.
