The Hybrid phenom is here to stay, i know i will never not have a hybrid in my golf bag in the foreseeable future. These hybrids are here to stay for the simple reason that they work great for what they were designed for. These golf clubs will make an average golfer better.
The hybrids are now high tech and have been around long enough so every manufacturer has good quality clubs. They all have been engineered and designed to get the golf ball out of the rough and up in the air with little golfer talent. That is why i love mine, these hybrid clubs are weighted so that they are effortless almost to hit a good shot.
The great thing about the fact that everyone has a good hybrid is that you can buy off brand hybrids and you still get a good quality golf club with good technology with a low cost. That helps us replace two or three long irons with hybrids and maybe knock off several strokes and much frustration. I do not know about your game but i know i can hit a lower priced hybrid better than i can hit a top name brand expensive long iron.
